Kilimanjaro Packing List: What to Bring
Kilimanjaro

Getting your kit right is one of the most important factors in a successful Kilimanjaro summit. The mountain has five climate zones — from rainforest to arctic — so layering and moisture management are critical. Here's our definitive packing list from guides who have climbed Kilimanjaro hundreds of times.

  • Base layers (×2–3): Moisture-wicking synthetic or merino wool. No cotton.
