Day-by-Day Itinerary
Transfer to the remote Londorossi Gate (2,100m) on Kilimanjaro's western slopes. Trek through pristine rainforest to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,750m).
Emerge from forest into open moorland. Panoramic views. Shira 1 Camp (3,500m).
Cross the magnificent Shira Plateau with views of Kibo summit. Shira 2 Camp (3,840m).
Crucial acclimatisation day. Climb to Lava Tower (4,630m), descend to Barranco Camp (3,960m).
The iconic Barranco Wall scramble. Continue to Karanga Camp (4,035m).
Ascent to Barafu Camp (4,680m). Final preparation for summit.
Midnight start. Summit Uhuru Peak (5,895m). Descend to Mweka Camp.
Morning descent to Mweka Gate. Certificates and celebration. Return Moshi.
