Overview
Tarangire National Park is Tanzania's best-kept safari secret. During the dry season (June–October) the Tarangire River becomes the only water source for hundreds of kilometres, drawing extraordinary concentrations of wildlife — including the largest elephant herds in Tanzania, sometimes numbering over 300 animals. Ancient baobab trees dot the landscape creating an otherworldly atmosphere.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Depart for Tarangire (approx 2.5 hrs from Arusha). Enter the park through the main gate and begin game drives immediately. Huge elephant herds, zebra, wildebeest and birdlife. Overnight at camp.
Full day exploring the varied habitats — the river corridor, swamps, and wooded savannah. Night game drive option. Overnight camp.
Early morning drive before the heat. Excellent predator activity at dawn. Depart after lunch back to Moshi/Arusha.
