Overview
Lake Manyara National Park is one of Tanzania's most scenic parks. The alkaline soda lake turns pink with thousands of flamingos. In the groundwater forests at the lake's edge, elephants roam through fig trees and baboons forage. Lake Manyara is world-famous for its tree-climbing lions — a behaviour unique to this park where lions lounge in acacia and fig tree branches.
