Overview
The Marangu Route — nicknamed the 'Coca-Cola Route' — is Kilimanjaro's oldest established route and the only one with dormitory-style huts rather than camping. This makes it the budget-friendliest option. At 6 days it's also the shortest, though the compressed schedule can reduce acclimatisation time. Good for experienced high-altitude trekkers.

- Only route with permanent hut accommodation
